Touch Me
Touch Me was one part in a series of site specific installations sponsored by the Millenium Partners and the Ritz Carlton. The installations took place in an empty block of storefront windows across from the Ritz Carlton hotel. Touch You was composed of 40 carved wooden fingers mounted to motors and attached to suctions cups on the inside of the window. The motors were wired to a motion sensor on the sidewalk. As pedestrians walked by the window the fingers would begin to tap on the glass. The concept was to connect and activate the empty interior of the building to the people on the street.
Touch You
Touch You was the second in the series and was installed for four months.
